In our client testimonial video, we speak to Chris Hovington about his 20+ year relationship with Sherrards and the Commercial property team.

We asked Chris Hovington, Group Leasing Manager at Praxis Real Estate Management to sit down with us and talk about working alongside the teams at Sherrards. He says, “We work with Sherrards as often as we can.” We say “The feeling is mutual!”

“We’ve used Sherrards for probably over 20 years. We recommend Sherrards on a regular basis to landlords and occupiers who don’t really have an idea about which solicitors to use, and we push Sherrards because I’ve used them for a long time, for many reasons.

I personally deal with Terry Fendt, Stephanie Kierans, on the commercial property team, and they are probably the most commercial and astute solicitors I think you would come across. Yes, I have used other departments, litigation and commercial property transactions, so houses and flats. I have used other solicitors within the firm and they’re equally as good.

We get canvassed and approached an awful lot by landlords and mostly occupiers, and they don’t have a clue about the property process. So we can guide them through acquiring a property, we can find the locations, we know about every town and every city in the UK. But when it comes to dealing with a solicitor, we want the solicitors to be as quick as possible within the transaction, before people change their minds.

Landlords can change their minds, occupiers can change their minds, the longer they have to deal with it, the more chance there is of the deal falling out of bed. So when we recommend Sherrards, we know for a fact that they will deal with it as quick as anyone. So we do recommend Sherrards as often as we can.”
