Another year of recognition, outstanding client feedback and plenty to celebrate across Sherrards.
The results are in, and we’re pleased to share that Sherrards has once again been recognised in the Chambers and Partners UK Legal Directory 2027!
Behind every ranking is a team of people working hard to deliver the very best for their clients. From navigating complex disputes and commercial challenges to providing straightforward, practical advice, it’s this commitment that sits at the heart of what we do.
While it’s always rewarding to see our lawyers and departments recognised, what makes these results particularly meaningful is the feedback from our clients. Their experiences, recommendations and continued trust are what truly matter to us.
So, who’s been recognised this year? Let’s take a look!
Litigation – Band 2
Our Litigation team is no stranger to tackling complex challenges, from high-value commercial disputes to fraud, banking and cross-border litigation.
The team has once again secured its Band 2 ranking, with Paul Marmor, Head of Litigation, maintaining his Band 1 individual ranking, alongside Karen Dobson, Partner in Dispute Resolution, who is recognised in Band 4.
But don’t just take our word for it.
“Sherrards’ strategic approach was particularly impressive; they did not simply pursue litigation for the sake of prolonging the matter, but instead worked proactively to achieve the best possible outcome in a cost-effective manner.”
“Karen is approachable and highly effective in her communication, ensuring that clients feel supported and fully informed throughout the process.”
Corporate and Commercial – Band 2
A milestone worth celebrating, as our Corporate and Commercial team achieves a Band 2 ranking for the very first time!
Behind every successful business decision is good advice, and our Corporate and Commercial team knows a thing or two about helping clients navigate the opportunities and challenges that come their way.
Adding to the team’s success, Leigh Head has also been individually recognised in Band 2, further highlighting the strength and expertise within the department.
And the feedback speaks for itself:
“Leigh is very good to work with; he always champions his client’s cause but never does it in a way that compromises the outcome. He’s pragmatic and commercially minded.”
Commercial Property – Band 3
From complex transactions to long-term property strategies, our Commercial Property team combines legal expertise with a practical understanding of what matters most to clients.
Terry Fendt has been recognised in Band 3, reflecting his continued commitment to providing commercially focused advice and supporting clients across a broad range of property matters.
What do clients think?
“I can’t speak highly enough of Terry. His team and him are just on it all the time and provide us with an excellent service. They are all commercially astute and we have total confidence in the whole team when they do anything for us.”
Employment – Band 4
Employment law rarely stands still, and neither does our team. With a practical, commercially focused approach, our Employment team continue to support businesses and individuals through an ever-changing legal landscape.
The team has been recognised in Band 4, with Mark Fellows, Head of Employment & Immigration, also receiving individual recognition in Band 3, reflecting his expertise and dedication to supporting clients through complex employment matters.
Here’s what clients had to say:
“The firm offers considered and tailored advice aligned with our company values, with high attention to detail and a ‘people first’ approach.”
“Mark is always available to discuss our staff issues. He will advise and follow up on any problems we have.”
Art & Heritage – Band 3
Another exciting first for Sherrards, as Arthur Byng Nelson achieves his debut Band 3 individual ranking in the Chambers UK Guide 2027 for Art & Cultural Property Law!
Already recognised in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide, Arthur’s inclusion in the UK Guide marks another significant milestone, reflecting his specialist expertise and growing reputation in the art and cultural heritage sector, as well as the continued development of Sherrards’ Art & Heritage practice.
Here’s what clients had to say:
“Arthur Byng Nelson is a very clear and concise lawyer who has a passion for art and is a trusted source of advice.”
Of course, none of this recognition would mean quite as much without the people who put their trust in us.
A huge thank you to our clients and professional contacts who took the time to provide feedback and participate in the Chambers and Partners research process. Your support and confidence in our teams are genuinely appreciated.
And to our lawyers and everyone working behind the scenes at Sherrards, congratulations! These results reflect the dedication, expertise and collaborative spirit that make the firm what it is.
Here’s to another year of doing great work with great people.
