Emma is a Senior Associate in the Employment & Immigration department with extensive experience working with a variety of clients from individuals to large international companies. She also specialises in GDPR & Data Protection.
Prior to training as a solicitor, Emma worked for a local authority as a HR Advisor. This experience provided Emma with a working knowledge of the practical application of employment law advice and allows Emma to give her clients pragmatic solutions to employee relations issues.
She advises on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law including disputes, grievances, disciplinary processes, restructures, temporary worker agreements, contracts of employment and general HR issues. Emma has a particular interest in discrimination law and unfair dismissals.
Emma has particular experience advising clients on Data Protection issues which arise in relation to employees, workers and even candidates for positions. She can assist with guiding clients on their individual data rights in accordance with GDPR, including making and responding to data subject access requests (DSAR), rectification and deletion of data.
Emma enjoys working closely with clients to provide pragmatic and commercial solutions to their employment needs. She is known by her clients for offering practical advice in an easy-to-understand format.
