Melissa Vangeen advises both individuals and businesses on a wide range of immigration law. Melissa works with an extensive range of sectors including finance, charity, education, banking, IT and more.
Melissa is a member of the Law Society, the Immigration Law Practitioners Association, the American Bar Association and is a member of UKCEN (UK Citizenship for European Nationals) which is affiliated with the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants (JCWI). Through this, she sits on their legal advisory board, providing their 40,000 members with immigration legal support.
Melissa has worked closely with Department for International’s predecessor and co-authored the Immigration chapter of the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) “Investors’ Guide to the UK”.
Melissa has run many well attended training sessions and seminars for her corporate clients on the implications of Brexit on the rights of EEA nationals living and working in the UK, and the implications to their UK employers, as well as in respect of all corporate business immigration matters that affect UK employers.
Melissa is a dual USA and UK national and is fluent in English, German, French and also basic written Dutch. She has a very significant American related practice and travels to the States at least 3-4 times a year, regularly visiting the East Coast, West Coast and the Mid-West.
