With more than 20 years’ experience in commercial property, Charles Hodder brings a great deal of experience to the firm and is well respected by clients. He achieves solutions for his clients which are in their best interests but are also pragmatic and commercial.
Charles advises clients ranging from landlords of commercial buildings to corporate occupiers and developers as well as banks and other lenders. His experience encompasses offices, shopping centres, retail units, industrial warehouses and development as well as offering these types of property and residential property, as security to funders.
Charles has more recently acted for clients located overseas, with a particular emphasis on Malaysia and Singapore, including major banks and investors in property and has gained valuable insight into the tax issues which are of particular concern in making investment decisions when acquiring UK property.
Charles’ work includes purchases and disposals, leases, renewals and lease re-gearing, alterations and portfolio restructuring, as well as corporate mergers and acquisitions and includes advising on personal and corporate guarantees, and rent deposits as security.
Charles works closely with colleagues with complimentary skills to deliver advice across construction, corporate, planning, tax and dispute resolution which are necessary to help clients achieve their business objectives.
Charles understands that every client is different and he works with each client to understand their objectives. He understands the importance of identifying the key objectives of the client and working to find the appropriate structure and delivering the essential advice to provide speedy solutions.
When not working, Charles is a keen rugby fan and (dare he say it) referee.
