On the 9th of September 2021, Managing Partner Alasdair McMillin will cycle 500 km from St Albans to the Isle of Man alongside 40 other cyclists in order to raise money for Rennie Grove Hospice Care, to allow them to continue their incredible work.
Rennie Grove Hospice Care is an amazing charity which provides specialist care for adults and children with life limiting illnesses in Bucks and West Herts. The Hospice is available day and night, providing support for patients and their families to ensure they are able to live the best quality life they can. Rennie Groves 24/7 care is provided at no cost to patients or families as it relies on the generosity of others as currently 85% of costs of their services our covered by donations.
In 2015, Team Forge completed the Isle of Wight challenge to celebrate the charities 30th anniversary with Alasdair and the rest of the team raising a tremendous £60,000 which would cover the employment of two nurses for a whole year. In September, Team Forge is taking on an even bigger challenge with more than double the number of cyclists as last time who all plan to undertake a 4-day, 400-mile cycle challenge from St Albans to the Isle of Man.
All funds raised will enable Rennie Grove to continue providing specialist support to meet the needs of patients who desperately require the care provided by this remarkable hospice as the support and generosity of everyone is vital in making sure Rennie Grove is able to continue their work in the future.
